The development of phytosanitary requirements for the importation, circulation, and transportation of coffee seedlings within the Kingdom aims to achieve a set of strategic and technical objectives related to plant pests transmitted through coffee seedlings and to ensure their compliance with phytosanitary and technical standards, by establishing clear frameworks for importing, trading, and transporting seedlings to guarantee their traceability, monitoring, and freedom from pests, through: 1. Ensuring safety and quality by verifying that imported and domestic seedlings are free from plant pests and fully compliant with approved phytosanitary and technical standards. 2. Preventing the introduction and spread of pests to protect national coffee crops and local ecosystems from biological risks that may arise from importing non-compliant seedlings.
