Executive Regulations for the Sustainable Management of the Marine and Costal Environment
The executive regulations for the sustainable management of the marine and coastal environment have been updated and reformulated. The project comes in implementation of Royal Decree No. 32043, in addition to Cabinet Resolution No. (406) dated 14/5/1445 AH, which stipulates adding the phrase "The General Authority for the Preservation of Coral Reefs and Turtles in the Red Sea" to the definition of (the competent authority), taking into consideration the conclusions of the Experts Committee of the Council of Ministers Memorandum No. (839) dated 25/2/1447 AH. This regulation aims to minimize any negative impacts on marine and coastal ecosystems, protect them, monitor compliance with the provisions of the Environmental System related to them, and outline violations and penalties.
