The Academic Accreditation Policy
In the context of the constant developments in the academic accreditation, and in order to achieve the best international practices which are necessary for ETEC to obtain the recognition as an academic accreditation body, and in accordance with the continuous developments in ETEC’s work and its quest for excellence, and to carry out its practices according to a declared and governed framework that guarantees quality, efficiency, justice, integrity, and transparency; the NCAA has prepared, according to the best practices, the Academic Accreditation Policy. The Policy document was reviewed internally and externally by universities and some external experts, as well as international quality bodies and networks. All received observations were taken into consideration. Then they were presented to the Advisory Committee for ETEC’s Board of Directors. In this light, it was developed again, and now it is ready to be presented to the ETEC's Board of Directors.
Public Biosafety Project
The project regulates the uses of genetically modified organisms resulting from modern biotechnology, and the project included procedures for dealing with genetically modified organisms resulting from modern biotechnology to ensure that they are made safely without being affected by the environment or human health. The proposal also includes licensing procedures for activities on GMOs, which include transportation, transit, circulation, use of gas, the release of GENETICALLY modified organisms in the environment, risk management and assessment procedures, emergency handling, public participation in decision-making, control, and inspection procedures for such activities and penalties for violators.

The regulations on qualification and licensing are in accordance with the provisions of Article IV, paragraph 2, of the organization of the National Centre for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases issued by a decision from the Council of Ministers No. (152) promulgated in 03/03/1442 AH. These regulations are aimed at organizing, evaluating, and following up on service providers in the field of plant pest and animal disease prevention and control by the Centre and after the applicant has been licensed and approved to perform.
